About Rumin8

Rumin8 is tackling one of the biggest contributors to climate change: methane emissions from livestock. The digestive process of beef and dairy cattle produces a full 3.7% of all greenhouse gas emissions, a huge contribution from a single source. With billions of people around the world relying on animal products as part of their daily diet, eliminating livestock methane production is a powerful lever in the quest toward mitigating climate change.

Rumin8’s technology is demonstrating reduction of emissions from cattle by up to 95%. Our technology replicates the anti-methanogenic compounds that occur naturally in plants and turns them into dietary supplements for livestock. By reducing methane production, we enable the animal to convert otherwise lost energy into increased productivity, a win for farmers and a win for our planet.

We're looking for an Operations Associate to join our ground-floor Operations team at Rumin8. As we gear up to kickstart a new era by moving into a production-ready landscape, your role will be pivotal. You'll be exposed to the nitty-gritty of our operations, giving you a chance to learn, grow, and eventually own significant parts of the operation.

Your focus will be on helping to build out initial production capabilities, a backbone for our international trial programs and supporting the operational aspects of our ongoing R&D efforts. You'll be part of a fast-paced environment with a quick feedback loop, ensuring that your learning curve is nothing short of exponential. Whether you're keen to dive into the intricacies of supply chain management or are passionate about optimizing manufacturing workflows, this role offers avenues for you to explore and specialize in your areas of interest.

In the short term, you will:

Assist with the coordination of demonstration plant launch
Work closely with operations team and external consultants to define pilot plant specification and budgeting
Contribute to data estimation, collection, and modeling of operational cost centers and specific projects as they arise
Assist with the logistics strategy underpinning Rumin8’s global trials program

In the long term, you will:

Be responsible for logistics within Rumin8, including ongoing international trials and special projects as they arise
Drive special projects including the construction of R&D facilities and partnerships within the broader R&D space
Contribute to the optimisation of production within Rumin8

You have:

Experience in managing complex projects with a number of stakeholders spanning technical consultants to internal decision makers
Ability to problem solve using quantitative and qualitative inputs
Fantastic written communication skill with an ability to synthesize ideas into simple components to enable quick decision making
An eye for detail and high standards for any and all projects you contribute to
