As a Part-Time CFO, you will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, as well as past experience in a venture capital funded company. We are looking for our leaders to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
  • Prepare and present financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to optimize business operations.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide regular reports to the executive team.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and support for business development and growth strategies.
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company’s financial stability and growth.
  • Financial Operations:
  • Oversee accounting, tax, and treasury functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage annual audits.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a high-growth, deep tech, or technology-focused company.
  • Extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, with a strong understanding of financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated success in raising capital.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive teams and stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum

Benefits Employee Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave (must be employed at time of birth or adoption), short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 6%. Paid Time Off: 15 days per year based on weekly scheduled hours, 10 paid sick leave, and 13 company-paid holidays for all regular employees (including part-time), fixed-term, and interns.
