Voltus is hiring a Sr. Salesforce Administrator to help drive the productivity and operational effectiveness of our Go-to-Market organization. Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, you'll take ownership of Salesforce administration end-to-end — from hands-on configuration to system governance — while partnering closely with our current administrator and with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success stakeholders.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to bring deep Salesforce expertise to a mission-driven clean energy company. We're looking for someone who is not just a power user, but a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Voltus is a remote and virtual company, distributed across US, Canada, and abroad. Candidates must be authorized to work in the US or Canada.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day administration of Salesforce, including user management, roles/profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, custom objects, page layouts, custom/formula fields, and validation rules

  • Design, build, and maintain Salesforce Flows and other automation to streamline processes across Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success

  • Partner and knowledge-share with the existing Salesforce administrator, providing guidance & code/config review

  • Manage the Salesforce release lifecycle, including sandbox environments, testing, and safe deployment of changes to production

  • Own the security model in partnership with our security team and periodically audit permissions, sharing rules, and data access to ensure alignment with least-privilege principles

  • Own and administer the broader Go-to-Market tech stack, including all of the integrations to Salesforce — handling mass updates, ad-hoc reporting, and troubleshooting

  • Helping define the AI strategy within our given tech stack – which tools should we invest in AI capabilities in and where can we use AI to automate processes

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, then propose and implement Salesforce-native solutions

  • Build and maintain standardized and ad-hoc reports and dashboards; train users on self-service reporting

  • Monitor data quality and lead deduplication, cleanup, and enrichment initiatives

  • Evaluate and manage integrations between Salesforce and other tools in the GTM stack (e.g., marketing automation, CPQ, data enrichment tools)

  • Stay current on new Salesforce releases and features, and proactively recommend adoption where it drives value

  • Maintain clear, well-organized documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning environment, ideally a power user

  • 5+ years experience as Salesforce administrator

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder certification strongly preferred

  • Hands-on expertise building Salesforce Flows and other declarative automation

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data model, security architecture, and sharing rules

  • Experience managing sandboxes, change sets, or DevOps tools for release management

  • Track record of translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions

  • Experience with integrations/middleware connecting Salesforce to other platforms

  • Strong reporting and dashboard-building skills, with the ability to train others

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to non-technical stakeholders

  • Self-motivated and comfortable prioritizing multiple concurrent requests in a fast-moving environment

  • Genuine curiosity about new technologies and a passion for improving system efficiency

  • Background or interest in clean energy or climate tech preferred

Please note that at this time, we do not sponsor visas or transfers for new hires. Voltus teammates need to be authorized to work from their home location (in the US or Canada, unless otherwise indicated on the role description).
Additionally, while Voltus is an all-remote workplace, we have limitations on where employees are able to work for regulatory and security reasons. We expect that Voltans are working primarily from their home country. Working while traveling to other countries must be approved as per our Global Remote Travel Policy.
