About the Role
At Vaulted, we have an aggressive plan to rapidly grow our team and subsequent climate impact. As the Process Engineer you will help operate, analyze, and troubleshoot slurry injection feedstocks and operations. In this role, you'll analyze new feedstocks for Vaulted Deep and help us adapt our existing equipment to optimize our processes.
In your work you will sample and understand various feedstocks, to understand their feasibility for slurry injection. You will use existing equipment, adapting it as necessary to accommodate new feedstocks and optimize the process. Additionally, you will develop and execute analytical measurements of key process variables, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting analytical sampling of feedstocks to understand their feasibility, sustaining operations and resolving production issues.
- Providing process engineering support to maintain and enhance manufacturing operations, including the optimization of existing operations and the development and scaling of processes for high-volume production.
- Communicating operational challenges and other critical issues promptly to Vaulted Deep leadership.
- Maintaining, calibrating, and operating various metrology instruments.

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in a development or manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with analytical instruments; capable of working efficiently, consistently, and independently in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with operators, technicians, as well as senior executives.
- Experience working with computers and standard office equipment
- Passion for and commitment to sustainability and the work of climate change mitigation.
Physical Working Conditions
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including lab coats or flame-resistant clothing (FRCs), gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe safety shoes.
- Ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs using lift equipment and carts.
- Capability to reach both low and high shelving areas, with assistance as needed.
- Frequent and repetitive handling of materials for testing purposes.
