We are looking for a passionate Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be designing, implementing, and executing integration and testing strategies for a complex manufacturing machine. We’re looking for someone with experience in HW/SW system integration and testing who is excited about the risks and rewards of joining an early-stage startup.

About You

As the first Systems I&T engineer on unspun’s hardware team, you will play a critical role in diligently and thoroughly completing the verification and validation process of Vega™, our revolutionary new textile manufacturing process. You will work with hardware & textile engineers, technicians, and our product development team to achieve company goals via requirements definition, integration planning, and acceptance testing.

What You’ll Do

• Define and manage a path to full system integration by developing tests to inform requirements discovery, establishing success criteria, leading design validation, and regularly communicating system requirements updates
• Define the integration plan of subsystems and ensure system performance meets the required specifications and standards
• Own testing schedules and lead on-machine verification and validation testing with a team of engineers and technicians
• Align cross-functional teams toward the successful realization of integration & testing milestones
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, review, and execute test plans for prototype builds
• Create technical reports detailing test results, findings, and recommendations
• Analyze issues and provide support in the definition, prioritization, and testing for proposed solutions
• Communicate identified improvements and new capabilities to the Vega™ Design team
• Engage with project stakeholders to ensure all integration and testing requirements are met and aligned with overall project goals
• Identify potential risks and issues early in the integration and testing process and develop mitigation strategies
