Summary: We are looking for a highly organized and skilled Production Manager with 10 plus years in concrete manufacturing to oversee the production and manufacturing process for concrete related products. They need to ensure a high standard for health, safety, and environmental performance, deliver on overall operational performance metrics, and lead a continuous improvement culture. They are responsible for the effective and successful management of safety measures, quality control, operating efficiency, and cost management for Solidia Technologies to ensure we are delivering for our customers and stakeholders. The Production Manager will provide direction and goals for process, equipment, and infrastructure improvements to improve reliability, efficiency, and long-term costs.

General Duties

  • Support and lead a Safety-First culture, and ensure that health, safety, and environmental protocols are met or exceeded.
  • Support and lead a continuous improvement culture on site based on Lean principles.
  • Plan and manage all daily activities related to production, operation, and maintenance of the site.
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and reporting tools.
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products and services – leverage QA/QC system and tools to track and improve Critical to Quality (CTQ) elements.
  • Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to ensure Delivery in Full on Time (DIFOT).
  • Manage operating costs to target while continuously driving down waste and inefficiency.
  • Coordinate with marketing and commercialization on market demand and production volume planning.
  • Assist with budget preparation for operations unit.
  • Assist with or prepare and update operations manual and policies.
  • Coordinate with other support departments such as human resources and finance to ensure successful operations.
  • Ensure proper training for new employees.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of site leadership level experience in the concrete products industry.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management with concrete products.
  • Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic production equipment and systems.
  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with using an ERP as part of a production operation.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite or similar software.
  • Able to pass Background Check to include Driving in accordance with all Federal and State Laws.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical.
  • Ability to pass internal skills assessment test.

  • On site Alamo Junction Elmendorf, TX.

Job Type

Years Of Experience

  • 10 plus years in concrete manufacturing.
  • 5 plus years in a supervisory position; site leadership experience preferred.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations, or related field required; engineering or

technical degree preferred.

  • Lean experience/training and certification preferred (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
  • Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Management (ICPM) preferred.
  • Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
