** NOTE: This is for 2nd shift, (3:30pm-2:30am, Monday- Thursday) Overtime schedules may include Friday/Saturday coverage 1:30pm-10pm)

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing production personnel, driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and developing a high-performing team across 2nd shift

The ideal candidate will have experience managing supervisors and team leads in a dynamic manufacturing environment with frequent job changeovers and varying production schedules. Experience with thermoforming is highly preferred, while injection molding experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Manage and develop Production Supervisors and Team Leads across multiple shifts.
  • Oversee a manufacturing team of approximately 50-70 employees through a leadership structure of supervisors and team leads.
  • Monitor production schedules and coordinate resources to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scrap reduction, and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Analyze production metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support staffing, training, employee development, and performance management activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve production issues.
  • Lead efforts to improve workflow, productivity, and overall plant performance.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience managing supervisors, team leads, and hourly production employees.
  • Experience within plastics manufacturing preferred.
  • Thermoforming experience strongly preferred.
  • Injection molding experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in environments with frequent product changeovers, short production runs, or job shop manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive operational improvements.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.
