Regional Sales Manager – Wisconsin Territory 📍 Remote (Must Be Local to Wisconsin) | Green Bay or Milwaukee Area Preferred | Direct Hire | $81,000 – $107,000 Base
About the Opportunity
A global, family-owned manufacturer of industrial coating products is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of a booming, high-performing Wisconsin territory and upper Michigan peninsula. This is a retirement backfill — the territory has already been built and is performing well — so the right person comes in with a strong foundation and the opportunity to grow it further.
This is a remote, work-from-home role with regular field travel within the territory. The company has been in business for over 80 years, operates globally, and has built a strong reputation for product quality and technical expertise. They are specifically looking for someone with a long-term mindset who wants to plant roots in a territory and own it for years to come.
This role is for someone already living in Wisconsin — Green Bay or Milwaukee area strongly preferred. Candidates outside of Wisconsin will not be considered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing customer accounts — approximately 60% of the role
- Hunting and developing new business within the Wisconsin and upper Michigan territory — approximately 40%
- Calling on C-Suite, Plant Managers, Engineering Managers, purchasing, estimators, and engineers
- Traveling within the territory with overnight stays approximately every other week
- Providing technical service and product training to customers and their applicators
- Logging all customer interactions in CRM and managing monthly goals, budgets, and forecasting
- Entering data into SAP
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sales experience in a manufacturing environment
- Coatings industry experience strongly preferred — powder coatings, liquid paint, chemical pretreat, or equipment sales to powder coaters
- Comfortable calling on all levels including C-Suite and Plant/Engineering Management
- Self-managing and comfortable working remotely and on the road
- Long-term mindset — this company values tenure and relationship building over transactional selling
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight within the territory
- Must be local to Wisconsin — Green Bay or Milwaukee area strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- SAP experience
- Strong working knowledge of powder coatings or related industrial finishing products
- College degree preferred
Compensation Package
This role does not include commission — compensation is base salary plus a structured bonus program. Please make sure you are comfortable with this structure before applying.
- Base Salary: $81,000 – $107,000 depending on experience
- Annual Bonus: $6,000 – $10,000
- Car Allowance: $12,000/year
- Meal Allowance: $5,400/year
- Company-paid hotel rooms for overnight travel
- Per Diem: $40/day for overnight stays
- 401(k) with 5% company contribution (after 90 days)
- Health Insurance (after 90 days)
- 10 PTO Days
- Remote / work from home with territory travel
