About the Opportunity

We are working with a well-established global manufacturer in Elgin, IL to find a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a floor-level, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of engineering, quality, and production. You will serve as the primary technical liaison on the production floor — troubleshooting assembly and test issues, driving process improvements, writing work instructions, and supporting CAPA and RCA actions. This is a high-visibility role with strong long-term growth potential at a company known for innovation and technical collaboration.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison on the production floor for assembly, test, and process issues
  • Drive RCA, CAPA, and MRB actions to resolution
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing work instructions
  • Implement Lean/Six Sigma process improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering on manufacturability feedback
  • Develop and maintain fixtures and testing setups
  • Support ISO 9001 quality system compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience in electronics assembly or manufacturing
  • Strong electronics knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting ability
  • ISO 9001 and CAPA/RCA experience
  • Ability to write and maintain detailed work instructions
  • Lean/Six Sigma mindset
  • Comfortable working hands-on on the production floor daily

Nice to Have

  • Experience with display technologies (LCD, OLED, TFT)
  • Experience designing fixtures and test equipment
  • PCBA, soldering, or wire bonding process experience
