We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Builder Lead to support the assembly of custom machinery and automated equipment. This role will lead a team of builders and technicians on the shop floor, helping ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

This person will be heavily involved in the build process—working directly with prints, guiding the team, and stepping in to troubleshoot when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day build activities for custom machines and automated systems
• Support and guide a team of mechanical builders and technicians during assembly
• Interpret mechanical drawings, layouts, and basic schematics to ensure accurate builds
• Assist with mechanical assembly, alignment, and installation of components and subassemblies
• Troubleshoot issues during assembly and work with engineering to resolve build challenges
• Help manage build schedules and priorities to keep projects on track
• Ensure work is completed to quality standards and general safety expectations
• Support system testing, startup, and internal runoffs

Qualifications

• Experience in machine building, automation, or custom equipment assembly
• Previous experience leading or mentoring others on the shop floor preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly experience
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts
• Basic understanding of electrical systems is a plus
