Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support the manufacturing of precision medical device components. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet strict regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience working with tight tolerances and thrives in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or grinders)
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits (G & M code)
  • Machine complex components to tight tolerances (±0.0005" or better)
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators, CMM if applicable)
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA, and GMP standards
  • Perform in-process inspections and document results per quality procedures
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production goals

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years of CNC machining experience (medical device or regulated industry strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with Fanuc or similar controls
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience working with materials such as stainless steel, titanium, cobalt chrome, or plastics
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems is a plus
