Location: Lake Zurich, IL

Compensation: Up to $60K (with quarterly bonus opportunities)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

A rapidly growing, privately backed U.S.-based manufacturer in the industrial/welding space is seeking a Sales Support Representative to join their team during an exciting phase of expansion. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and gain hands-on exposure to sales strategy, customer engagement, and business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic sales efforts by analyzing customer data, trends, and account activity
  • Identify declining or underperforming accounts and help uncover opportunities for growth
  • Maintain and update CRM and ERP systems (tracking customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline)
  • Assist with quote generation, order support, and general customer service backup
  • Support outbound sales efforts including email outreach, cold calling, and marketing initiatives
  • Build reports, dashboards, and insights using Excel to support leadership decision-making

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong interest in building a career in sales, customer success, or account management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (comfortable with data analysis, tracking, and reporting)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and business opportunities

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field)
  • Previous experience in customer service, inside sales, or data analysis (internships count)
  • Exposure to CRM/ERP systems (HubSpot, Global Shop, etc.)
  • Interest in or exposure to manufacturing/industrial environments
