Job Title: Buyer II – Manufacturing (Capital Equipment & Services)

We are seeking an experienced Buyer II – Manufacturing to support procurement activities related to capital equipment, tooling, and technical services for a growing manufacturing operation. This role will play a key part in sourcing and managing suppliers for equipment installations, facility projects, and production launches.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience purchasing manufacturing equipment, tooling, and contractor services within a fast-paced production environment. This position works closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to ensure equipment and services are delivered on time to support manufacturing timelines.

This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale equipment launches, facility projects, and manufacturing expansions, making a direct impact on production readiness and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure capital equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems
• Manage purchasing related to press equipment, robotic welding systems, and metal manufacturing equipment
• Support procurement for facility construction projects, equipment installation, and contractor services
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment meets technical specifications and launch timelines
• Manage vendor relationships, supplier negotiations, and contract agreements
• Support manufacturing program launches and production ramp-ups
• Manage purchasing across multiple categories, including: Capital equipment, Tooling, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), Installation and technical services
• Work with contractors and suppliers to ensure equipment installation and commissioning are completed successfully
• Monitor supplier performance for cost, delivery, and quality

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 8–10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• Experience sourcing capital equipment, manufacturing systems, or tooling
• Experience working with contractors and service providers on installation or facility projects
• Background supporting production launches or manufacturing ramp-ups
• Experience in automotive OEM or Tier 1 manufacturing environments

Preferred Experience:

• Procurement experience involving: Press equipment, Robotic welding cells, Metal manufacturing equipment and Facility infrastructure and installation projects
• Experience supporting high-growth manufacturing environments or new production launches
• Background in industries such as: Automotive manufacturing, Heavy equipment and Agricultural equipment
