Aegis is partnered with a long-standing manufacturer of custom industrial lifting equipment that is experiencing strong growth and expanding operations. This organization operates a large manufacturing facility and is investing heavily in new equipment, facility expansion, and ERP modernization.

They are seeking a Junior Buyer to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review production schedules and material requirements
• Create and manage purchase orders for steel, hardware, and components
• Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability
• Track orders and resolve shortages or delivery issues
• Maintain purchasing data within ERP systems (transitioning to Epicor)
• Support cost savings initiatives and supplier sourcing
• Work cross-functionally with production and engineering

Requirements:

• 3+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Experience buying steel or fabricated components preferred
• ERP system experience
• Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in small, collaborative team environment
