About the Role:
We are seeking an apprentice to join the Customer Success Team at Planet. The apprentice program is in its second year and is intended to be an early career initiative to support Planet’s hiring pipeline. This program supports remote employees, anywhere in the United States. The aim is to support you in a 9 OR 12 month program, noting your intention to launch into a sales driven career. Since the core of this opportunity is meant to train and coach you, partnering with your hiring manager, the commitment is also meant to be paired with schooling or other training. Therefore, the opportunity is part time at 29 hours per week maximum, no healthcare benefits. The program also will work with you to amplify if there are full time roles available at the end of your 9 to 12 month term. Conversion is not guaranteed, but a full fledged interview process with support from our internal teams is the goal.
Impact You’ll Own:
Your mission will be to work alongside our Customer Success Managers and support Planet customers through their lifecycle from onboarding to renewals for our high volume-low touch accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, creative thinker, and a great communicator. Maintaining a human-centered approach, you will help drive value realization and return on the client’s investment while developing knowledge of Customer Success principles in a unique product space. Within Planet’s dynamic sales environment you will also utilize your working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS and geospatial imagery products to be an internal advocate for customers across all verticals. Support the Global Customer Success (GCS) team in:
- Producing timely solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Manage orders and deliveries
- Support the GCS team in managing research program requests
- Communicate with customers and business partners to ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Providing customer support to sales partners and direct customers
- Working closely with colleagues from other departments to resolve project and/or customer related issues
- Contributing to the successful execution of major contracts
What You Bring:
- Basic knowledge or an interest in remote sensing or/and GIS industry
- Enrolled in a Bachelor/Master degree course for another year
- Relevant working or internship experience in the field of GIS/ remote sensing or customer support
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Tech savvy: able to learn new software without much instruction
- Self-starter who works on own initiative with strong communication skills
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and work under tight deadlines
- Team-player with strong interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of database management tools
- Experience with CRM Software like Salesforce.com

The US hourly rate range for this position at the commencement of employment is $35 - $40. The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location. The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.
