Persefoni is creating an all-in-one platform that allows organizations to measure, analyze, and reduce their Enterprise Carbon Footprint. Our goal is to provide our customers unprecedented visibility and insights into the impact their organization has on the environment. About The Role (What You Will Get to Do)
The Persefoni Product team ideates, designs, and constructs user-centric experiences that take complex multi-spreadsheet multi-discipline workflows and make them accessible to all companies independent of size. Throughout the design process at Persefoni, Product Designers partner with product and design leadership and play a role as a leader on a cross-functional product team as an advocate for the user experience.
We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer with deep expertise in design principles, systems thinking, and Figma mastery to join our team. You’ll play a critical role in building products and in maintaining and evolving a large-scale design system that powers multiple SaaS products and marketing websites. This role sits at the intersection of product, design, and front-end engineering – ideal for someone who’s as comfortable talking auto-layout and components as they are discussing front-end implementation and user experience strategy.
Responsibilities (What We Expect)
- Work under the guidance of product leadership to execute design projects.
- Collaborate effectively with other product designers, product managers, engineers, climate analytics, and customer success team members.
- Provide deep knowledge of design principles and methods, research methodologies, prototyping and rapid experimentations to collect and produce user behavioral insights.
- Cultivate a culture of exploration and evolution.
- Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best business outcome, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you.
- Contribute to and advocate for our design system, and the visual language of our brand, to ensure a cohesive experience across our platforms.
- Demonstrate a mastery of design and prototyping within Figma.
- Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews.
Qualifications (What You Bring to the Role)
- 5–7+ years of experience designing digital products and systems in a professional environment
- Proven experience maintaining or contributing to a design system that supports multiple products or teams
- Track record of collaboration with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
Must Have Skills
- Mastery of Figma, including components, variants, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping
- Deep understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color, hierarchy, accessibility, and usability
- Experience designing for both SaaS applications and websites
- Strong documentation skills – able to keep design system references, libraries, and documentation up to date
- Ability to clearly communicate and present design thinking, rationale, and trade-offs
- Comfortable working with and speaking the language of front-end developers
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other designers
Nice to Have Skills
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript – not necessarily for production code, but enough to understand front-end constraints and opportunities
- Experience with token-based design systems or variable-based theming in Figma
- Familiarity with design QA workflows or design-to-dev handoff best practices
- Background in accessibility (a11y) or inclusive design
- Prior work on multi-brand systems or scalable design libraries
How You'll Know You’re on the Right Track
- Truly impact the world's future through design by helping companies see, understand, and improve their carbon footprints.
- Be able to articulate how Persefoni incorporates carbon accounting standards and sustainability reporting frameworks in its solutions within the product.
- Ability to apply strategic thinking to design, conduct research, and deliver delightful and innovative solutions for our users.
- Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of current design paradigms.
- Ability to get to the heart of a conversation, collecting and interpreting qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Ability to apply broad expertise and knowledge in Persefoni’s product and services to our customers.
