We are seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager with a background in technological solutions for mining to join our Business Development team, in Vancouver, Canada. The successful candidate will develop and implement commercial strategies and plans to expand business, achieve or exceed profitability targets, increase market share, and maximize solutions and services for clients within their portfolio. This entrepreneurial, detail-oriented individual will enjoy creating innovative solutions and driving customer engagement while identifying and developing opportunities in both existing and potential accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and follow-up of potential opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales objectives and grow our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and goals.
  • Understand the industry landscape and trends.
  • Report on factors influencing strategic account directions and tactical budgets.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Lead negotiation processes and close commercial contracts, ensuring favorable terms for the company and meeting sales targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to retain key clients by anticipating their needs and providing high-value, tailored solutions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification to closing and post-sales follow-up, ensuring a positive client experience at every stage.
  • Coordinate with MineSense’s technical teams to ensure successful post-sales deployment and integration of technologies.
  • Provide regular feedback to product and marketing teams on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to clients.
  • Foster strong internal relationships across departments to ensure effective communication of client requirements and expectations.
  • Handle commercial account management, including strategic planning, opportunity management, project planning, CRM-based development, and terms negotiation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mining, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • 4+ years of proven track record in building sales pipelines and achieving/exceeding sales quotas.
  • 4+ years of experience in mining technology sales, specifically in complex, long-cycle sales processes within large-scale mining.
  • Experience negotiating and closing commercial agreements.
  • Proven experience in strategic account planning, including influencing remote multidisciplinary teams to engage clients and close deals.
  • Technical background with an understanding of mining operations and technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the unique aspects of products and services.
  • Proven ability to position new products in early adopter markets, educating and guiding clients through the “customer journey.”
  • Experience managing long sales cycles.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to market demands and client needs, adjusting strategies and approaches as required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, listening, and negotiation skills to establish strong client relationships and effectively convey MineSense’s value.
  • A strong network within the industry, facilitating prospecting and commercial agreements with decision-makers and relevant professionals.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar.
  • Formal training in complex sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger Sale, Value Selling, etc.) is desirable.
  • Must be available to travel up to 50% within North America. Must have a valid passport and VISA
  • Health & Safety conscious individual.
The salary offered to the successful candidate will be based on their experience, knowledge and skills they bring to MineSense, market data based on their location as well as internal equity. Keeping this mind, the salary offered can be outside of the range posted.
