We are looking for Senior Lead Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles and lead our In Warehouse Team! This role is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals that want to broaden and build their career experiences in a highly flexible position. Teamwork is at the heart of our operation, as mechanics work together to identify critical parts of our product lines that can be improved and ensure the safe working condition of our fleet.
What you’ll do:
Onboard, train, and lead a team of Mechanics, Senior Mechanics, and Lead Mechanics while assigning daily tasks as needed and ensuring workflow is efficient and thorough
Maintain a team oriented environment and integrate new mechanics to the team
Evaluate and provide feedback to manager on team performance
Ensure operational compliance of all vehicles and complete quality checks prior to departing the warehouse for deployment
Perform repairs from basic maintenance to complex electronic part replacement
Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles
Ensure accurate documentation of completed quality checks for vehicles and parts
Manage battery operations such as inspection, rotation, check in/out, and more
Support inventory management and organization of tools, parts, and vehicles
May assist with any level of tire maintenance including changes, inflation, or assembly
Identify issues and perform small repairs on vehicles in field from brake adjustments to vehicle cleaning to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition
Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse
Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned
May be required to safely operate a push cart, pallet jack, and/or forklift to move vehicle inventory. Where applicable, forklift certification will be necessary.
Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed
Act as a liaison to support Operations Management
Additional job related tasks as assigned
About you:
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record
2 years of experience in a similar industry; with the ability to train others preferred
An understanding of workforce management to help Ops Management ensure efficient staffing
Comfortable learning and adapting to new concepts and using new tools
Ability to use data to inform decision making; and understand KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to make an impact
Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis
Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart. Where markets require the use of a forklift, Lime will coordinate a certification
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs
Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks
A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members at all levels
