Lime is the world's largest shared electric vehicle company. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered 400+ million rides in 250+ cities on 5 continents, replacing an estimated 100+ million car trips. Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, we achieved a fully profitable year in 2022, becoming the first in our industry to reach this milestone.
Lime is hiring a Community Engagement Manager to join our Public and Government Relations team! In this role, you will report into the Director of Government Relations, Canada. You will lead our efforts in fostering strong relationships with the communities we serve in the Lower Mainland and develop strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with community members, have an intersectional approach to engagement and strong background in project management.
We are a remote first company! The individual hired for this role must be located within the Greater Vancouver area in order to be in close proximity to community events and the Lime Warehouse.
This is a two year fixed term position.

What you'll do:

  • Community Engagement Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive community engagement strategies.
  • Public Meetings and Events: Organize and facilitate open houses, roundtables, and community events to gather feedback, foster dialogue and educate our riders.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for public and community inquiries and concerns. Liaise with municipal partners.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure timely and accurate communication with stakeholders regarding project developments and impacts, and maintain a stakeholder database to track interactions and feedback.
  • Public Relations: Collaborate with the Lime Communications and Marketing teams to develop clear and effective communication materials, represent Lime at public events and ensure all communications are culturally sensitive and inclusive.
  • Program Development and Reporting: Work closely with Lime’s operations team to integrate community feedback, develop and manage community participation programs, monitor engagement effectiveness, and prepare reports for Lime management teams and municipal partners.

About you:

  • At least three (2) years related experience leading or working in community engagement, government affairs, public policy, campaigns, and/or communications, ideally within the City of Vancouver.
  • A minimum of one (1) year working directly with any level of government.
  • A multi-tasker comfortable working on multiple priorities at once while executing projects in a demanding environment.
  • Availability to travel around the City of Vancouver and other Metro Vancouver Markets.
  • Available for regular events on evenings and weekends.
  • Previous professional experience in transportation and mobility would be beneficial.
The anticipated salary range for this position is CA$76,000 - CA$92,000. Benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s location of residence, the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
