ROLE PURPOSE

This is a newly created position that will be instrumental in growing the M&A Solutions business at LevelTen. The M&A Solutions Manager / Senior Manager should feel comfortable balancing customer-facing duties with internal management tasks in a multitasking and cross-functional environment. LevelTen M&A Solutions product suite offers developers and renewable energy investors a user-friendly, cloud-based, software-enabled platform that supports the acquisition and divestiture of renewable energy projects.

The team member will lead transaction execution, from start to finish, representing the point of contact for both the customers and transaction counterparties. Together with the M&A Solutions Director, the team member will be responsible for European regional leadership of sales and general business development. In collaboration with the rest of the M&A Solutions team, the team member will participate in the business strategy definition, product enhancement and process optimization.

LevelTen is seeking a motivated self-starter who is experienced in the renewable energy industry and has experience executing M&A transactions. The successful candidate must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, and eager to take initiative within a growing team and growing company to make a positive impact.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction execution:

  • Lead Asset Marketplace (AMP) processes, set-up and execution, including internal transaction team and external customer communications.
  • Manage relationships with customers aimed at understanding their needs and setting expectations.
  • Prepare transaction materials: Teaser, Announcement Email, NDA and others as may be required.
  • Coordinate all communications amongst transaction counterparties ensuring a smooth process.
  • Advise customers on transaction strategy based on market insight and transaction experience.

Operations:

  • Develop and maintain transaction systems and processes and associated documentation (tracking tools, templates, training materials, etc.)
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to drive successful M&A Solutions processes.
  • Lead Salesforce (CRM) efficiency projects. Maintain network data and opportunity tracking in Salesforce.
  • Support the use of the LevelTen M&A Solutions products by assisting customers when required (responding to questions and troubleshooting).
  • Support development of M&A Solutions transaction goals and track KPIs.

Business development:

  • Support the definition of the business development strategy in collaboration with the Director M&A Solutions and the rest of the teams. Lead the regional implementation.
  • Customer lead generation. Identify, pursue and execute new business opportunities.
  • Lead the network expansion and brand awareness in Europe.
  • Work with the marketing team in the preparation of collateral, presentations and marketing campaigns.
  • Support communications strategy, including PR, social media, events, newsletters, thought leadership pieces, white papers, etc.
  • Represent LevelTen attending conferences and events when required.

Product:

  • Provide key point of operational contact with the Product Team
  • Drive delivery of product roadmap, relay customer feedback, contribute ideas for improvement of and new features.
  • Support development of long-term product strategy and growth plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree from an accredited college/university and relevant work experience in the renewable energy industry (5+ years of experience). Minimum 3 years of M&A experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in transaction execution.
  • Relevant experience in business origination. Comfort with cold calling, direct sales, business development and marketing.
  • Experienced in European energy markets. Understanding of energy industry trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel across Europe to attend conferences.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal groups.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities managing different M&A transactions and internal processes at the time.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative in a fast-moving startup environment under limited supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A high level of integrity.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Salesforce and other professional software.
  • Professional fluency in English, other European languages are a plus.

This full-time position could be either based in LevelTen Energy’s Madrid office or remotely. Salary and incentives commensurate with experience.
