Energy Analyst
We are seeking a dynamic Energy Analyst to join the Latitude Media market intelligence team.
About Latitude Media
Latitude Media covers the new frontiers of the energy transition, delivering B2B news, events, and market intelligence for investors, utilities, and energy innovators. We partner with leading companies and stakeholders in the climate tech ecosystem to provide high-quality, actionable insights and connections.
Latitude Intelligence is our subscription research arm. We cover the U.S. power sector and the broader energy transition, digging into wholesale markets, utility strategy, clean generation and storage, transmission, and the policies that connect them. Our subscribers are the investors, developers, utilities, and policymakers shaping what comes next.
About the role
We’re hiring a sharp, data-driven Energy Analyst to join the Latitude Intelligence team. You’ll be a core contributor to the proprietary research, data products, and written analysis that define our subscription business.
Responsibilities:
- Market analysis: Conduct primary research on U.S. power markets, utilities, and the data center sector.
- Data products: Build and maintain proprietary datasets, trackers, and analytical frameworks that power our subscription research.
- Content creation: Author research reports, white papers, and shorter notes for Latitude Intelligence subscribers.
- Data visualization: Create charts and visuals that communicate findings clearly to a business audience.
- Thought leadership: Collaborate with the editorial team and represent our research on webinars and industry panels.
About you
What we are looking for:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in energy market analysis, utility planning, or consulting.
- Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of U.S. power markets (wholesale markets, PPA structures, and interconnection processes). Familiarity with the data center/hyperscaler landscape is a major plus.
- Communication: You are a writer as much as an analyst. You can explain why a data point matters to a business audience.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel is required. Experience with Python, R, or SQL for data scraping and analysis is preferred but not required.
- Autonomy: We are a remote-first company that operates high on trust. Ability to work independently and self-direct.
- Curiosity: You are genuinely fascinated by the challenge of powering the AI revolution sustainably.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t believe you meet every one of the qualifications in the job description. Studies show that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they feel they meet every single qualification, and we want to ensure we are not overlooking talented candidates.
