Role Description:

This entry level position requires a candidate with a strong background in mechanical engineering fundamentals. The ideal candidate would have the demonstrated technical wherewithal to solve engineering problems of moderate complexity and an ability to validate those solutions. He or she would be expected to display the judgment required to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and documentation skills are necessary to engage with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify and troubleshoot problems at a subassembly level complexity. Work with our Hardware Engineering team to generate novel solutions
• Perform engineering analysis to provide fundamental basis for proposed solutions
• Work with our Hardware Engineering team to specify, design, or modify engineering schematics, layouts, and detailed drawings
• Define, perform, and document engineering tests to validate performance to specification
• Develop quality management system process documentation (work instructions, control plans, and other advanced product quality planning documents)
• Operate chemical mixing processes to produce slurries used in subsequent processes
• Observe all safety standards for work on electrical and automated machinery; Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Operate 3D printers to produce components
• Operate cleaning and sintering processes to finish components
• Run various tests on in-process materials and components to verify conformance to requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 0 - 2 years applicable experience
